My flights were cancelled…twice within 48 hours. Japan was our home for seven years, all it took was five days to leave; close my accounts, handover documents, a few possessions shipped back, not a trace of our existence. I had just said my heartfelt goodbyes too and now remained at the airport instead of returning to the city.
