With protest at Bangladesh HC in London, Iskcon draws world’s attention towards anti-Hindu violence (5 min. video)
Times of India: Hundreds of Iskcon devotees and Hindus living in the UK chanted prayers and sang bhajans in front of the Bangladesh High Commission in London to protest against the wave of anti-Hindu riots in Bangladesh. The gathering in London was part of a global protest to condemn the anti-Hindu riots in Bangladesh during the Durga Puja. Dozens of temples and Puja pandals across Bangladesh were attacked and desecrated in violence unleashed by hardline Islamist mobs. The violence began on the pretext of the alleged desecration of the Holy Quran at a puja pandal. However, police later found that it was a Muslim man who had placed the Holy Quran in the pandal, thus making it evident that the wave of violence against Hindus was a planned conspiracy. The protest in London and other cities of the world was aimed at drawing the world’s attention towards what many say is the ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Bangladesh.
