Losing our way is good, if it brings us to Krishna!
This week as usual I set up a book table at our regular place – an arts and crafts shop in Singapore. I was praying to Krishna to send sincere seekers.
Some people started to approach the table and look through the transcendental books. I talked with them and explained how important Bhagavad-gita is: It helps us understand our true identity as a soul and the relationship with our supreme father, Krishna.
Suddenly, a man joined us and asked me for a copy of the Gita and also encouraged others standing at the table to take the books.
He paid for his copy, and I thanked him and asked him where he’s from.
He replied, “I am a Sri Lankan, transiting through Singapore and about to fly to Australia in a few hours. I wanted to purchase a Bhagavad-gita for my mother, who is residing in Australia. Lucky that I saw you people. So I am purchasing a copy.”
I was thinking inside that Srila Prabhupada’s books find their sincere readers. We have to just become instruments by following the instructions of the acharyas.
Then he asked, ” How do I go to the Mustafa [a shopping mall]?”
I said, “You need to walk back in the same direction from which you came.”
He was a bit upset and said, “Someone I had just asked for directions gave me the wrong information and told me to go the opposite direction.
That’s why I walked here.”
It did not take long for both of us to realize that Krishna has a plan for those who sincerely seek him.
I told him, “This is Krishna’s mercy.” He agreed.
Sometimes losing our way is also good if it brings us close to Krishna.
In my heart, I felt very blissful and grateful to Krishna for using me as his instrument.
Param vijayate Sri Krishna sankirtanam!!
Hare Krishna!
Your servant,
