We were told later on that this K%u1E5B%u1E63%u1E47a Sastri was a big, big Sanskrit scholar, one of the biggest Sanskrit scholars in India and he was training all the %u015Aa%u1E45kar%u0101c%u0101ryas and all the other pa%u1E47%u1E0Ditas in this impersonal Advaitav%u0101da philosophy.
So we went downstairs and Acyut%u0101nanda looked at the setup. This pa%u1E47%u1E0Dita came out and the junior %u015Aa%u1E45kar%u0101c%u0101rya sat on his small vy%u0101s%u0101sana. Acyut%u0101nanda leaned over and said, %u201CLet me take care of this.%u201D Acyut%u0101nanda, within about five minutes, completely demolished all their arguments about impersonalism, this brahma satya%u1E41 jagan mithy%u0101: the Brahman is real, the universe is false, all these nonsense ideas.
The pa%u1E47%u1E0Dita was quite stunned. He was looking at Acyut%u0101nanda, his eyes were like, %u201CWhat is this?%u201D He was expecting that we were some ignorant people who just pasted on some tilaka. But by Prabhup%u0101da%u2019s mercy, within about five minutes, they were completely speechless, totally speechless. I remember when Acyut%u0101nanda quoted from the %u012A%u015Bopani%u1E63ad [15] satyasy%u0101pihita%u1E41 mukham. The word mukham indicates a face, the face of a person. And he quoted the verse, eko bah%u016Bn%u0101%u1E41 yo vidadh%u0101ti k%u0101m%u0101n (Ka%u1E6Dha Upani%u1E63ad 2.2.13), and so many other verses. Acyut%u0101nanda was very aggressive and very, very strong and they basically had no reply for all of his arguments. No reply whatsoever.
After that we left the Ma%u1E6Dha. Acyut%u0101nanda was very, very happy. All the devotees in our party we elated to see how Prabhup%u0101da had empowered Acyut%u0101nanda to defeat these nonsense M%u0101y%u0101v%u0101di pa%u1E47%u1E0Ditas. As Prabhup%u0101da describes in the %u015Ar%u012B Caitanya-carit%u0101m%u1E5Bta, the M%u0101dhvas and the R%u0101m%u0101nujas are very expert at breaking the teeth of the Vedantic philosophers of the M%u0101y%u0101v%u0101di school. So this is a very important point. Just like I first saw Guruk%u1E5Bp%u0101 debate these M%u0101y%u0101v%u0101di pa%u1E47%u1E0Ditas and finish them off pretty fast, I was also privileged to see Acyut%u0101nanda completely defeat this big pa%u1E47%u1E0Dita, one of the biggest M%u0101y%u0101v%u0101di pa%u1E47%u1E0Ditas in India.
