Hare Krishna.
ISKCON Malaysia – Sri Jagannatha Mandir Kuala Lumpur is pleased to announce the upcoming Sri Sri Radha Krishna Deity Installation Ceremony, which will take place from 18 to 20 April 2026, culminating on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya.
Founded by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, ISKCON continues to share the teachings of Bhakti Yoga and devotional service with communities around the world.
The Deity Installation, known as Prana Pratistha, is a sacred Vedic ceremony in which the Lord is invited to manifest in the Deity form within the temple. According to the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, the Deity of the Lord is identical with the Lord Himself. Through this process, the temple becomes a place of divine presence, where devotees can offer their prayers, service, and devotion.
On this occasion, the marble Deities of Sri Sri Radha Krishna, specially crafted in Jaipur, India, will be installed, marking an important milestone for the temple and the devotee community.
HG Kripa Sindhu Krishna Das, Co-Temple President of ISKCON Malaysia, shared that the Deity Installation is not merely a ceremony, but a meaningful milestone that will benefit the community for generations to come, establishing a sacred space where individuals and families can come for peace, reflection, and spiritual connection.
The three-day programme will feature traditional Vedic ceremonies, devotional activities, and prasadam distribution, providing an opportunity for devotees and well-wishers to participate in this auspicious event.
As this installation takes place on Akshaya Tritiya, a day traditionally associated with activities that bring lasting and ever-increasing spiritual benefit, devotees and members of the public are also invited to participate through simple acts of seva, including bhoga and prasadam sponsorship.
In addition to its spiritual activities, ISKCON Malaysia continues to serve the wider community through initiatives such as food distribution programmes, cultural outreach, and educational efforts. The temple also places strong emphasis on youth cultivation, providing a positive environment for young people to develop values, build character, and engage in meaningful service.
HG Shanti Rupa Devi Dasi, Director of Women and Child Affairs, added that the event offers an opportunity for individuals and families to come together, experience a peaceful environment, and connect with spiritual and cultural values, while also highlighting the importance of creating a supportive space for youth development.
All are welcome to attend this auspicious ceremony and be part of this meaningful occasion.
