Iskcon Alachua: Thank You Ukraine Fundraiser Contributors -$4,000 raised!
Thank you to all the devotees who contributed to help the temples in Ukraine purchase generators for the cold winter. ISKCON Alachua was able to send over $4000 for this.
The ONE DAY FOR UKRAINE festival organized by VIRA, Kasisvara Dasa and Leah Bielat this past October, raised over $8000 that day, including from the sales of artwork created by Bhaktivedanta Academy students. $7,000 has been sent to the Bhaktivedanta Charity Foundation in Kyiv as a part of the international Share Your Care initiative. $5,000 of this amount will go to the New Mayapur community in Ukraine which accommodates over 150 devotee refugees, and $1500 will be spent on the needs of children in an orphanage in Dnipro.
