A few years ago Prabhupada was officially recognized by the West Virginia Department of Culrure and History and their determination was then forwarded to the US Interior Department for their approval, then the Registration was forwarded to the US Parks Department for their official recognition and placed onto the National Registry of Historic places. Which this plaque represents.
This is a big deal and very historic because the state and US government for the first time has officially recognized Prabhupada and the Sankirtan Movement as being historically signficant and important to the Nation.
This places Prabhupada in the company of our founding fathers, many other important personalities and other important historic places.
Hundreds of inquisitive Souls are now visiting the Palace this summer, wanting to know more about the significance of his samadhi.
This also represents Krsna’s desire to uplift his pure devotee and all those who build the palace in his honor in remote West Virginia
