Hare Krishna, Dear devotees!
Dandavat pranams. Today marks a historical date in the Calendar of ISKCON of Richmond as today we celebrated the very first Panihati Chidadahi festival at the newly inaugurated temple of ISKCON of Richmond.
Earlier the program was planned to be hosted in deep run park but by the sweet desire of Nityananda prabhu in the morning the weather changed and it started raining very heavily. So the program was shifted from an open park to a newly inaugurated temple. This was the very first program after inauguration at the temple.
Program had three main parts: annual certificate distribution for kids at Sandipani Muni School. Followed by Chida Dahi Festival celebration and finally games with kids. The program started with an amazing kirtan performance of the kids. Followed by certificate distribution by the temple president of the Iskcon of Richmond His Grace Divyanam prabhu. After the kids program there was small discussion on the pastime of Chida Dahi festival followed by a roaring kirtan for the pleasure of Nityananda Prabhu. The amazing dancing kirtan lifted the spirits of devotees sky high. After the celebration devotees honoured Bhagvat prasad. At the end of the program Her Grace Premavali Mataji engaged all kids and adults in various Krishna conscious games.
Certainly all the acharyas and lordships were pleased as all the devotees felt very enriched in Krishna consciousness. We thank all devotees for their support and prayers without which this program would not have been possible and we hope and pray for all the devotees to continue giving us support and encouragement.
