What does it cost me to get a gallon of milk?

What does it cost me to get a gallon of milk? I don't have exacts but here are some of the many things that factor into each gallon - *Hand milking - from prep to milking to clean up about an hour for one cow with additional time for more cows - what's minimum wage at least? *processing the milk takes time *feed for my cows when pasture isn't enough *time purchasing feed and supplies *time feeding my cows, whether it's hay, grains, pasture or a mix *pasture maintenance - huge amount of time daily including fuel, tractor/equipment maintenance *Veterinary services *hoof trimming (mostly dairy breeds) *fencing is not cheap and requires regular maintenance and upkeep *land ain't free. *Taxes on land ain't free. *cows and bulls ain't free *barns/shelters ain't free *Tractor, equipment, trucks, etc ain't free *training - cows that are milked need to be handled and trained *time spent observing our cows so we know how they are doing *All kine extras from stock tanks, water heaters, feed containers, to milking supplies, to headache meds. *days spent preparing for inclement weather, seasonal changes, stocking up for winters, droughts, etc. *never having a vacation, no days off, and no overtime pay *and a good farmer isn't milking robots, we give attention and love to our cows too because if we didn't care about them you couldn't afford the dollar amount that is put into your gallon of milk. I'm sure I'm forgetting things and others could add to this list.
