Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada in New York City in 1965. With little more than his translations of ancient Vedic texts and an unshakable determination, Srila Prabhupada inspired a generation of seekers to embrace Krishna consciousness and carry it to every corner of the globe.
Among those who first gathered around him were a remarkable group of young Western men and women — the earliest disciples — who left behind their former lives to follow a path of devotion. Many of those pioneering souls have since passed on, but a handful still remain with us today, continuing to share memories of those early days and the timeless wisdom of their guru.
