Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is He who is known as jana-nivāsa, the ultimate resort of all living entities, and who is also known as Devakīnandana or Yaśodā-nandana, the son of Devakī and Yaśodā. He is the guide of the Yadu dynasty, and with His mighty arms He kills everything inauspicious, as well as every man who is impious. By His presence He destroys all things inauspicious for all living entities, moving and inert. His blissful smiling face always increases the lusty desires of the gopīs of Vṛndāvana. There is no “birth” or “death” for God, since by definition He is the original person—always existing, the source of everything, even of time itself. Since he exists outside of the realm of time, there is no question of his “birth.”
But we will celebrate His b'day with majestic splendour and fervour.
Oh In case you didnt know our dear Madhava is turning 48 this year.
“One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna”
