Bhakta Max
Max was born in Hawaii and raised in Sacramento, California. He graduated from Chapman University with a major in graphic design and a minor in entrepreneurship. He is considering getting his master’s in divinity.

I also appreciate the community. That we’re all on the same page about why we’re here and what we’re doing. That we can encourage each other, bond with each other, and help each other reach our goals in Krishna consciousness.”
I feel like Krishna House is like taking a seed, and giving it life and fertile soil to thrive.

“What really brought me into Krishna consciousness was when I went on a study abroad in London the summer before senior year. We had an opportunity to work with a branch of the UK government. After being there for a month, I was feeling disappointed. One day when we finished a client meeting, we went straight down the road and to my right I saw a table of books. In the center of the table a certain book caught my eye…I had the same book in my side bag [SSR - that I had gotten years earlier]! The group leader told me they were going to continue walking, and asked if I was going to stay here. I felt like I had a big choice - a choice between material and spiritual. I made the choice to stay and go inside the SoHo Radha Krishna temple. The devotee brought me into the temple, fed me prasad, took me outside, and fed me more prasad. He then told me I should meet someone in particular. He introduced me to a guy with an elderly body… it was Adikarta prabhu.
Adikarta prabhu was speaking casual truths. It made a lot of sense to me. I felt he was a genuine, sincere person. He left me with his contact card. We stayed in contact for over a year while I was finishing my senior year of college. When I graduated, he gave me the opportunity to come to Florida. I thought he’d never ask!”
