LONDON: British Prime Minister David Cameron has hosted the annual Diwali party at his official residence here extending greetings to over 8,00,000 Hindus living in the UK and thanking them for their contribution to the country. "This festival of lights is an important time to celebrate our shared history and thank you all for all that you do for our country," said Cameron, as he made his way to a mini temple stacked with deities and Indian sweets below a portrait of Queen Elizabeth, yesterday. "It is a good thing my kids are not here because they would have decimated those sweets right away," he added on a lighter note.
