*HH Kadamba Kanana Swami Health Update - 27-02-23*
SB Keshava Swami: Dear Devotees,
Several senior Vaisnavas have made special trips to see Maharaja. HH Gopal Krishna Maharaja drove in from Delhi, although he is avoiding all traveling. They had a very sweet exchange, and Kadamba Kanana Swami glorified him for being a general and being very generous. He said that Gopal Krishna Maharaja has truly given his life for others and is someone who would do anything for Srila Prabhupada. Two doctors came with Gopal Krishna Maharaja, and after discussion they all concluded there was nothing more that could be done medically.
HG Hrday Caitanya Prabhu, who has served with Maharaja for several decades, flew in from Sridham Mayapur to see him. Yesterday we were also graced by the uplifting association of HH Bhakti Marg Swami.
Today Maharaja said that he feels “significantly worse” than yesterday. Pain has increased and breathing is more difficult. Still he is very focused. Today he clarified the final details of his will and the distribution of various items after his departure.
Maharaja has Tulasidevi in his room. Yesterday he had turned to Bhurijan Prabhu and said, “Every plant I ever touched always died, but somehow Tulasi is staying here.” Bhurijan Prabhu had replied, “But you have inspired so many bhakti lata’s to flourish!”
“Out of many millions of living entities, one may be fortunate enough to receive the seed of the bhakti-lata, the creeper of devotional service. By the grace of the spiritual master and Krsna, one nourishes the bhakti-lata by regularly sprinkling it with the water of sravana-kirtana, hearing and chanting. In this way the seed of the bhakti-lata sprouts and grows up and up through the whole universe until it penetrates the covering of the material universe and reaches the spiritual world.” (CC Madhya 19.155)
